Queering Space

Sewing has been an activity that brought people together, it was a way to create a space that facilitated the sharing of knowledge and stories. This exhibition combines new and recent works by Rae Boggs that investigate the construction of gender stereotypes in the material culture of childhood. For Boggs an artist working in the expanded field of print and installation this material culture includes clothes, toys, and books.
