DUETS

Curator's Note: 

In curating this event for IBP, I was interested in exploring the dynamics that are generated through the durational performance of duets, pairing an interesting line up of artists from a diverse group of artists with equally diverse backgrounds of performance art practice that include fine art, sculpture, dance, theatre and multidisciplinary performance.

In a time of political extremes and global unrest, in a world where dis-connection is fuelled by technology, causing the disintegration of human

contact and interaction, it is more imperative than ever to question the relationship between bodies, actions, and critical thought. As a contingent

material of performance culture, DUETS is a collective action featuring four duets between five artists.

We hope you will drop in to see the work unfold over four hours, stay for the journey, or come and go as you like, we ask that you respect the space and the artists engaged in the durational performances throughout the small intimate spaces of the gallery, and would love to hear your feed back from between 4.30 and 5pm.
