Speculative Mythology by Latvian-Australian artist Liana Berzins is an exploration of personal theology and purpose in the context of the artist’s physical and temporal displacement from the traditions she was raised on. The works explore Myths of Creation and structures of Faith and Belief within a diasporic ‘Dreamspace’, as the creatures and beings within traverse, intersect, and re-write their stories in an iterative manner. The exhibition examines cycles of decay and rebirth and how to find meaning amongst them.
