Emma Rani Hodges and Tom Campbell
Floating through warmer waters
Floating through warmer waters explores the movement of bodies through space, the involuntary movement of objects and movement created by natural forces. By using incongruous materials such as paint, repurposed fabrics and found objects Campbell and Hodges invite the viewer into a space of contemplation. The world they create is speculative, asking viewers to consider their personal histories of migration, the memories held in their muscles, the temperatures they feel most at home in and the taste of the water in the places they're most familiar with.
